Christopher Nackos, LCSW is a clinical social worker providing individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy. A graduate from the Columbia University School of Social Work, Christopher has worked throughout the spectrum of mental health treatment, providing clinical treatment to individuals in outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, inpatient, and residential settings.

With this approach, he works with clients suffering from mood and anxiety disorders and who struggle to manage their relationships with friends, family, and significant others. Together, Christopher works with clients to develop a treatment plan tailored to effectively manage symptoms, achieve true emotional balance, and maintain healthy boundaries throughout their lives. Drawing from various treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, traditional Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and process-oriented treatment, he offers his clients a dynamic treatment experience. Christopher applies a varied approach to his work with clients.

Christopher is well versed in the twelve step model of recovery and integrates this approach effectively with individuals whose goals include obtaining and maintaining abstinence. As people struggle with emotional stress, they often turn to unhealthy ways of coping, including alcohol and substance use and abuse.

This supervision is focused on skill development, creating and maintaining effective treatment plans with clients, and processing and managing countertransference. Furthermore Christopher is certified to provide clinical supervision to Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Associate Counselors in the state of New Jersey.
